Lexington won against Burton last Friday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Lexington Eagles beat the Weimar Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.
Peyton Tomas was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Mason Beck was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Lexington's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Weimar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Coincidentally, Lexington and Weimar will both be playing Hempstead the next time they take the field. Lexington will head out to face Hempstead at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Weimar will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
