Softball Recap: Winton Woods Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Winton Woods and Loveland squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Winton Woods had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 20-7. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sydnee Short made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alina Ellis, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Winton Woods' record now sits at 2-10. As for Loveland, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

Winton Woods does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loveland, they will venture away from home to square off against Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
