Softball Recap: Oxford Academy Has No Trouble Against Glenn

Oxford Academy won the last time they faced Glenn and things went their way on Monday too. The Patriots blew past the Eagles 10-2. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Oxford Academy let Danelia Paniagua and Libby Denkers run wild. Paniagua went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles, while Denkers went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Paniagua has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kuhu Gupta, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Oxford Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Glenn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oxford Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Artesia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Glenn will challenge rival Pioneer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
