Basketball Game Preview: Davidson Day Patriots vs. Parris Prep Academy Panthers

The Davidson Day Patriots will take on the Parris Prep Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Davidson Day is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: Ambassador Christian School, who was ranked 11th at the time (Davidson Day was ranked 16th). Davidson Day strolled past Ambassador Christian School with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 60-41. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots who have now won five contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Parris Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Charlotte Elite Academy on Wednesday, taking the game 70-63.

Parris Prep Academy's win came from a few key players Davidson Day will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Garrett Morgan, who posted 22 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Pack, who had 16 points.

Parris Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Davidson Day, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.
