Recap: Sky View Bobcats vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks
After flying high against the Bear River Bears last Thursday, the Sky View Bobcats came back down to earth. Sky View was outmatched by Ridgeline on the road and fell 68-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sky View in their matchups with Ridgeline: they've now lost six in a row.
Sky View's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Karlee Allen, who scored seven points along with four steals, and Claire Fischer who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Allen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
It was another big night for Emilee Skinner, who shot 4-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds for Ridgeline. Skinner hasn't dropped below 15points for 12 straight games. Elise Livingston was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Sky View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Ridgeline, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sky View will take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Mountain Crest is ranked 61st, while Sky View is ranked 40th). Ridgeline will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
