Soccer Recap: Clinton Has No Trouble Against Starkville

After failing to score in their last game, Clinton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Starkville on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Starkville Yellowjackets as they made off with a 4-1 win. Given the Arrows' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 35th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clinton hit Starkville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kayla Jones, Zariya Bass, Joelle Ambrose, and Carly Howell.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. As for Starkville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Clinton will challenge Hernando at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starkville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
