Recap: Hart County Raiders vs. Larue County Hawks
It was a good run, but the Hart County Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-43 bruising from Larue County. Hart County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Larue County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Larue County was led to victory by Daniel Allen and Landon Blakey. Allen scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Blakey dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Allen hasn't dropped below 15 points for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Cole Miller, who scored nine points.
Hart County's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Larue County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart County's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Taylor County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Larue County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green County at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Green County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
