Basketball Game Preview: Pike Red Devils vs. Carmel Greyhounds

The Pike Red Devils will square off against the Carmel Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pike's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests.

Pike is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Brownsburg 90-74 on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Bulldogs are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Carmel came up short against Fishers on Tuesday and fell 54-47. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Pike pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points over those games. As for Carmel, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Pike was able to grind out a solid victory over Carmel in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, winning 65-57. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
