Bay City is 6-1 against Columbus since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bay City Blackcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Columbus Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. Bay City will be strutting in after a win while Columbus will be coming in after a loss.

Bay City is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over Rice Consolidated on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blackcats, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Columbus' game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 3-0 to El Campo. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Ricebirds: they've now lost five in a row.

Columbus' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-3. As for Bay City, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 10-0-5.

Bay City beat Columbus 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Bay City repeat their success, or does Columbus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
