Baseball Recap: Mohawk Area Warriors vs. Ambridge Bridgers
Mohawk Area had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Ambridge on Monday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Bridgers with a sharp 8-1 victory. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered an 11-10 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bobby Fadden was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mohawk Area is undefeated when Fadden allows one or fewer hits, but 6-8 otherwise. Fadden was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Mohawk Area got a great performance from Briar Crawford as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Crawford has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
