It was a proper cat-fight when Lake Creek took on Del Valle on Saturday. The Lake Creek Lions fell 63-55 to the Del Valle Cardinals. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holden Caltabiano, who went 7 of 14 en route to 14 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Mcshan, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Lake Creek now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Del Valle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Lake Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-58 victory against Episcopal School of Dallas on the 28th. As for Del Valle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-53 win against Harker Heights on the 28th.
