Basketball Recap: Lake Clifton Takes a Loss

Lake Clifton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-22 loss at the hands of the Edmondson-Westside Red Storm. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Red Storm are ranked 79th).

Lake Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Edmondson-Westside, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Clifton will square off against Patterson at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edmondson-Westside, they will face off against Southwestern at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
