Baseball Recap: Monroeville Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Joseph Central Catholic last Thursday, Monroeville came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 6-1 to the Plymouth Big Red on Monday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Big Red when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monroeville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Plymouth, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroeville will face off against Bucyrus at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plymouth, they will challenge Lucas at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
