Heritage Academy has gone a perfect 8-0 against Mission Heights Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Heritage Academy Heroes will be playing at home against the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Heritage Academy has ten straight victories, Mission Heights Prep has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Heritage Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Imagine Prep Coolidge 22-0. Fans of the Heroes have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Addy Gillespie made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payton Duncan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Kenia Martin was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .737. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .636 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Mission Heights Prep came up short against Ridgeline Academy on Thursday, falling 22-2.
Mission Heights Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Feik, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
Heritage Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15 runs. As for Mission Heights Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went Heritage Academy's way against Mission Heights Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Heritage Academy made off with a 16-1 victory.
