Basketball Recap: Mount Zion Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Youngsville Academy Charter on Friday, Mount Zion Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Mighty Warriors took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victory Christian Center Kings on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Mighty Warriors in their meetings with the Kings: they've now lost five in a row.

Leading Victory Christian Center to victory were Deshawn Coulter and Keyssane Massengo. Coulter posted 17 points, while Massengo earned 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Marshall, who had eight points.

Mount Zion Christian Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Victory Christian Center, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mount Zion Christian Academy will head out to challenge Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mighty Warriors will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Victory Christian Center, they will take on Charlotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kings will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
