Basketball Recap: Cook Gets the Win

Cook lost to Crisp County back in January of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Cook Hornets came out on top against the Crisp County Cougars by a score of 40-31.

Crisp County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lakayla Alexander, who posted five points and seven steals. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Moore, who put up a point along with six boards, six blocks, and four steals.

Cook's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Crisp County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tattnall County the next time they take the court. Cook will host Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Crisp County will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
