Simla entered their tilt with Fleming on Saturday with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Simla had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Fleming still got an impressive performance from Brooke Schaefer, who had 26 digs and two assists. Schaefer has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Simla's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Fleming, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-2.

Coincidentally, Simla and Fleming will both be playing Cheraw the next time they take the court. The Cubs will host the Wolverines at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
