Volleyball Game Preview: Natomas Nighthawks vs. Rio Linda Knights

The Natomas Nighthawks will square off against the Rio Linda Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Monday, Natomas made easy work of Destiny Christian Academy and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Nighthawks.

While Natomas won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rams.

Rio Linda walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-20.

Rio Linda's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Natomas, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Natomas came out on top in a nail-biter against Rio Linda in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Nighthawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
