Basketball Recap: Las Animas' Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Las Animas won the last time they faced Cheraw and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Las Animas Trojans walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Cheraw Wolverines. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Las Animas' victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Cheraw, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Las Animas will take on Crowley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crowley County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Las Animas likes a good challenge. As for Cheraw, they will challenge McClave at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. McClave is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.6 points per game this season.
