Football Recap: Saint Viator Triumphs

Saint Viator proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 33) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 1-0 photo finish over the South Elgin Storm.

Saint Viator has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points on average over those games. As for South Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Viator will square off against Glenbrook North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 7.7 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for South Elgin, they will host Aurora East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
