Recap: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Lakewood Rangers

The North Ridgeville Rangers waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins but they left with six. They took down Lakewood 63-47. Given North Ridgeville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Lakewood is ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grace Kingery was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 38 points and ten rebounds. Kingery is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Lime, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

North Ridgeville pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Lakewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Ridgeville will take on Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Avon Lake's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so North Ridgeville's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakewood, they will play host again and welcome John Hay, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
