Six Rivers recap September 10, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Cassville, who defeated 257th ranked Belmont, 21-12.

The Comets scaled the state rankings by moving to 245 from 317 this week, the biggest jump in Six Rivers. Cassville was able to make move up by besting the Braves 21-12.

Tanner Sweeney and Tanner Sweeney gave Black Hawk a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Sweeney threw for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Sweeney ran for 181 yards. Teammate Jayden Rufenacht added to the ground attack by rushing for 151 yards.

Sweeney and Sweeney gave the Warriors a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week.

Sweeney put up the best numbers in passing as Black Hawk bested River Ridge.

Brant Gille was the best receiver in the league this week as Shullsburg lost to Pecatonica/Argyle.

Sweeney was the best running back in the league this week.

Leading Six Rivers in both passing and receiving yards, Potosi's Kyle Kaiser and Chase Kruser have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Kaiser has thrown for 330 yards this season, while Kruser has 6 catches for 206 yards. Cory Milz's team's Sweeney leads the league in rushing yards with 424.

The Chieftains are currently in first, while the Comets are in third.

The Timberwolves fell to the Warriors 62-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
