Basketball Recap: Alva Skates Past Clinton with Ease

Alva saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Clinton Red Tornadoes, posting a 71-31 victory.

Alva's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lakin Gaddy, who posted 15 points and four steals. Jaycee Kelln was another key player, going 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Alva's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clinton, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Alva will take on Newkirk in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Clinton and Anadarko will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Anadarko's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
