Soccer Recap: Spackenkill Gets the Win

Spackenkill proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Beacon Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Spackenkill's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Beacon are ranked 118th).

Amalia Parsons and Jojo Ragusa scored both of Spackenkill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Spackenkill's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Beacon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

Coming up, Spackenkill will take on Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beacon, they will challenge Port Jervis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
