Volleyball Recap: Milford Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against CHESS Christian

Milford Christian kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the CHESS Christian Royals, falling 3-0.

Milford Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made CHESS Christian work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 27-25.

CHESS Christian found their leader in sophomore Sierra Schappacher, who had 14 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Schappacher. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Magoto, who had 18 digs and five aces.

CHESS Christian now has a winning record of 4-3.

Milford Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Bible Academy at 7:15 p.m. on September 16. As for CHESS Christian, they will take on Spring Valley Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
