Softball Recap: Judson Comes Up Short

Judson managed to slip by Gregory-Portland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Judson Rockets came up short against the Gregory-Portland Wildcats on Friday, falling 14-3. The loss leaves the Rockets still looking for their first win of the season.

Judson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Gregory-Portland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Judson will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexander at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Judson has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Gregory-Portland, they will venture away from home to square off against Antonian Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gregory-Portland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
