Football Recap: Hardin Northern Comes Up Short

Hardin Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Ridgemont Golden Gophers, falling 34-6. The Polar Bears lost against the Golden Gophers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 14-7 score last time.

Kyler Sedlock threw for 61 yards while completing 80% of his passes. Sawyer Crossman was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Blayne Kindle rushed for 61 yards.

Hardin Northern's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ridgemont, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hardin Northern will take on Toledo Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Polar Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ridgemont, they will square off against North Baltimore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Gophers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
