Basketball Game Preview: Petoskey Northmen vs. Holland Christian Maroons

The Petoskey Northmen and the Holland Christian Maroons will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Petoskey is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cadillac just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Vikings 55-51. The loss was the Northmen's first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holland Christian). They blew past Wayland, posting a 94-56 win. The victory was nothing new for the Maroons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Holland Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Petoskey, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Petoskey ended up a good deal behind Holland Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, losing 65-48. Can Petoskey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
