Streator is 8-2 against Peotone since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will host the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Streator is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Streator lost 9-3 to Morris on Saturday.

Streator saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Ondrey, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Kieran Black also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, while Peotone put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Dwight. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Trojans. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Payton Schnelle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Peotone is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Streator, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Streator has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Peotone struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 12.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Streator came out on top in a nail-biter against Peotone in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
