Aztec is a perfect 3-0 against Mohave since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Aztec Tigers will take on the Mohave Thunderbirds at 1:30 p.m.

Aztec unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Los Lunas by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Aztec has suffered since April 18, 2024.

Kamora Henry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Cheyenne Yellow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alexyn Candelaria, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Mohave put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They skirted past Cactus 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunderbirds have posted since March 22, 2024.
