Baseball Game Preview: Brentwood School Eagles vs. Campbell Hall Vikings

The Brentwood School Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Campbell Hall Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Brentwood School didn't have quite enough to beat Windward and fell 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dean Hoshide was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Brentwood School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Kaplan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Campbell Hall entered their game against Viewpoint on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-4. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Campbell Hall suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-8. As for Brentwood School, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Brentwood School couldn't quite finish off Campbell Hall when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
