Basketball Game Preview: Eastland Mavericks vs. City View Mustangs

The Eastland Mavericks will venture away from home to challenge the City View Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Eastland sitting on five straight wins and City View on nine.

Last Tuesday, Eastland earned a 39-27 victory over Millsap.

Meanwhile, City View's and Jacksboro's contest on Friday was close at halftime, but City View turned on the heat in the second half with 35 points. City View put the hurt on Jacksboro with a sharp 61-35 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Eastland has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for City View, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.
