Soccer Game Preview: Hernando vs. Springstead

Hernando is 1-9 against Springstead since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Leopards will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

Hernando is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Neither they nor Zephyrhills could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The win was some much needed relief for Hernando as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Springstead's game on Thursday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Central. The high-scoring effort was just what Springstead needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Hernando's draw gives them a new season record of 1-7-2. As for Springstead, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Hernando might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Springstead in their previous meeting back in November. Can the Leopards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
