Softball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elk Valley Christian last Thursday, Capital came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 14-1 to the Oak Hill Red Devils on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Capital dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Oak Hill, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capital will challenge South Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Hill, they will take on Nitro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
