Football Recap: Mossyrock Skates Past Vashon Island with Ease + How To Watch

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mossyrock's strategy against Vashon Island on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Pirates out of the water with a 70-3 final score. With the Vikings ahead 40-3 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Mossyrock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blue Sievers out in front who threw for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Aylan Bigbee was Sievers' top target, picking up seven receiving yards.

Mossyrock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vashon Island only rushed for -1.

Mossyrock's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Vashon Island, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mossyrock will face off against Toledo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Vashon Island, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
