Enumclaw came tearing into Wednesday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-46 W against the Gig Harbor Tides. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Hornets were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Enumclaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Holt, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 15 points and six boards. Kaidyn Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Gig Harbor lost, don't look at Kaliyah Miller. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Peirce, who put up 12 points.

Enumclaw's record now sits at 18-5. As for Gig Harbor, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 18-5.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw is taking a road trip to face off against North Thurston at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets' defense better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 64.3 points per game this season. Gig Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
