Recap: McClintock Chargers vs. North Canyon Rattlers
The McClintock Chargers won against the North Canyon Rattlers on Tuesday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. McClintock enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over North Canyon. The win was nothing new for McClintock as they're now sitting on three straight.
McClintock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lamaiya Woodberry led the charge by scoring 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The game was Woodberry's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Baca, who scored 18 points.
McClintock's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for North Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
McClintock will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fairfax at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Fairfax is ranked 149th, while McClintock is ranked 132nd). As for North Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against Sierra Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Linda is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
