The Morris Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Red Bank Catholic Caseys at 11:00  a.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Red Bank Catholic will be up against a hot Morris Catholic  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to six. The Crusaders blew past Madison 14-2 on Monday.
  Sofia Reisinger was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Savannah Mead, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Red Bank Catholic entered their tilt with Freehold Township on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots  a   16-0 shutout. With that  win, the Caseys brought their scoring average up to 7.1  runs per game.
 Mackenna Savage and  Lily Hagan made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Savage   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Hagan   struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. At the plate,  Savage  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs, while  Hagan  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  Savage has  launched this season.
 In other batting news, Red Bank Catholic got a  massive  performance out of  Jayden Kane, who  fired off two  home runs, seven  RBI,  and one  double while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Grace Lombardi, who  went 3-for-4 with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Red Bank Catholic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .567. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .318 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
 Red Bank Catholic's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Morris Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Both Morris Catholic and Red Bank Catholic just can't seem to miss. The Crusaders have been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.6  hits per game. However, it's not like Red Bank Catholic struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 4  hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Morris Catholic was able to grind out a solid  win over Red Bank Catholic in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024, winning  6-3. Do  the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Caseys turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
