Basketball Recap: Keene Comes Up Short

If Keene was feeling good fresh off their 73-49 takedown of Nashua North last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Keene Blackbirds were outmatched by the Bedford Bulldogs and fell 68-20. The match marked the Blackbirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Keene has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Bedford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keene will square off against Bishop Guertin at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Bedford, they will be playing at home against Concord Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bedford has won 17 straight at home dating back to last season, while Concord Christian won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
