2025 Michigan Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings

C.J. Sadler helps make Cass Tech the team to beat following a 12-2 season in 2024.

The high school football season in Michigan kicks off this month and we have your look at the state's top teams. Cass Tech (Detroit) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 after winning the Division 1 state championship a season ago.

The Technicians begin the season ranked No. 23 nationally with last year's MaxPreps Michigan Player of the Year C.J. Sadler returning.

Sadler (5-10, 185, ATH) and seniors Khalief Canty (6-5, 305, OL, Kentucky commitment), Marcus Jennings (6-2, 200, LB, Pitt) and B.J. Stovall (6-3, 210, LB, Toledo) lead the way for Cass Tech.

In addition to Cass Tech in Division 1, defending state champions include St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake) in Division 2, Zeeland West (Zeeland) in Division 3, Goodrich in Division 4, Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac) in Division 5, Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson) in Division 6, Millington in Division 7 and Beal City (Mt. Pleasant) in Division 8.
