Basketball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Takes a Loss

Forsyth Home Educators lost against Chatham HomeSchool back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Forsyth Home Educators Hawks took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Forsyth Home Educators still got an impressive performance from Caleb Petusky, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Petusky a new career-high in points. Dawson Smith was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chatham HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Teague, who went 8-for-14 en route to 20 points. Teague has become a key player for Chatham HomeSchool: the team is 12-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 9-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Coletta, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Forsyth Home Educators' defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Forsyth Home Educators didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-55 loss against Shining Light Academy on the 18th. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they have also already played their next contest, a 55-44 win against Grovemont on the 13th.
