Baseball Recap: Mt. Gilead Comes Up Short

Mt. Gilead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Danville Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on April 2nd.

Hayden Somerlot made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Mt. Gilead's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Danville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Looking ahead, Mt. Gilead will square off against East Knox at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Danville, they will take on Loudonville at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
