Basketball Recap: Red Rock Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red Rock Central). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 69-53 win over the Yellow Medicine East Sting on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Red Rock Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Yellow Medicine East, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Yellow Medicine East, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
