Soccer Recap: Olympus Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Olympus was not quite Skyline's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Olympus of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Olympus' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Skyline, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympus will square off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympus will be up against Brighton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.63 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Skyline, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West at 3:30 p.m. on the 18th.
