Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Takes a Loss

Cumberland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cameron Comets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-2, 25-13.

Raegan Beecroft paced Cumberland's offense, picking up three kills. Beecroft got some help from Natalie Anderson and her four assists.

Emerson Krahenbuhl was the offensive standout of the contest as she had four aces and three digs. She has been hot recently, having also posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played. Jadyn Siemers also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Cumberland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Cameron, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cumberland will face off against rival Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cameron is set to take on their familiar foe Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
