Softball Recap: Eagle River Wolves vs. Dimond Lynx
Eagle River is still looking for their season's first win. They lost 29-1 to the Dimond Lynx on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Eagle River of the 16-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For Dimond's part, Aubree Ogee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ogee was even better at the plate, scoring five runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Dimond got a massive performance out of Kyla Milne, who went 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kinsey MacDonald, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and four RBI.

Eagle River has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Chugiak at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chugiak will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Eagle River surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dimond, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Colony at 5:45 p.m. Dimond is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
