Baseball Recap: Cypress Ranch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cypress Ridge on Thursday, Cypress Ranch came back down to earth. The Mustangs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Woodlands Highlanders on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost four in a row.

Cypress Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for The Woodlands, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Cypress Ranch will take on Southwest in a tournament on Friday. As for The Woodlands, they will challenge Bridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
