Soccer Recap: Venice Comes Up Short

If Venice was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Port last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Venice Indians took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sarasota Sailors on Wednesday.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-3. As for Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Venice will take on Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sarasota, they will face off against Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
