Baseball Recap: Gilmer County Titans vs. Wirt County Tigers
Gilmer County took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Wirt County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3. Kolten Holbert made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Holbert was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
