Spencer extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Kerry Griffin. The Spencer Greenwave sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Sumter County Panthers on Friday thanks to Griffin, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 27 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Spencer's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Sumter County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Spencer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-50 defeat against Carver on the 15th. Sumter County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
